Bill is a frequent speaker at national education conferences for CMAA, HFTP and NCA, and has authored more than 80 articles for industry publications such as The Boardroom, Club Management, The Bottomline, Club Director and PGA Magazine. Bill began his career in private club software consulting as a Partner and Director of Club Consulting Services with McGladrey (now RSM), the nation’s 5th largest accounting, tax and business consulting firm, where he provided technology consulting services to private clubs for more than 20 years. He retired from McGladrey in 2010 and formed The Boothe Group to focus exclusively on software-related consulting and education for private clubs and communities. 

 

Bill has been a member of the NCA/HFTP Club Technology Task Force since its inception in 2009, and an active member of HFTP since 1992.  His education includes a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.S. from Loyola University.  

Bill Boothe is the founder and lead consultant for the firm. He specializes in assisting private clubs and communities with the planning, evaluation, selection and implementation of computer technology. 
 
During the past 30+ years, Bill has worked with more than 400 country, golf, yacht, city/athletic and residential community clubs to plan their technology future and implement appropriate solutions. He is thoroughly familiar with the club computer industry, the systems needs of every club department, the capabilities and track records of the leading club systems vendors, and the technology infrastructure and procedures needed to support those applications.
